Kings of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak

Ever wanted to run something through a Kentucky Frier? Well if you wanted to run the Strokes through one it would probably sound like the Kings of Leon. Caleb, Jared and Nathan are brothers who were part of a church going family band until they added their cousin Matthew to the lineup and decided to step out of the bible's shadow. Even though they moved into the trendy indie scene they did not give up on their southern twang. Caleb's voice is almost undescribable if not for a strange resemblance to Adam Sandler's opera man. The thing that Kings of Leon do so well is blend their instruments well. The guitars and bass rely off of each other to produce their sound. This band can make an orchestra out of the four band members. However, The Kings of Leon do have some faults. No one can make heads or tails of the lyrics which just get stranger and stranger as the album goes on. Also their attempts at slow songs take them out of their element. They try to incorporate a new sound when they slow it down but it just comes out forced. Still, this album is a must listen and will be certain to entertain all who try it out.
