This Canadian duo has come to show that you don't need a guitar to rock.

Death From Above 1979 - You're A Woman, I'm A Machine

Don't be put off by the pink album cover, Death From Above is here to rock. The Toronto based band focus more on the rhythms than on meshing musical sounds. The result is a sound all their own. With no guitarist in the group, bassist Jesse Keeler is free to wail on his bass and often produces fantastic licks. The sounds he gets out of his bass in "Little Girl" are second to none. There is no denying that "I'm a Woman" has eleven fantastic bass riffs, but that where it falls short of a perfect score. As the album is traversed it becomes clear that all the tracks don't waiver far from their original riff.
